Friends of the Library
The Clatskanie Friends of the Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to supporting children’s programs at our local library. We raise money by holding a community book sale in summer, a silent art auction in December, and through donations. These funds are used for a variety of programs like the Summer Reading Program and 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
We meet 4 times per year for an hour-long meeting, held at the library. Our meetings are at 11 am on the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October. This is an open meeting for all officers, staff, volunteers, and interested library patrons. During the meetings we plan upcoming events, decide how funds will be allocated, and find new ways to support the community.
Please join us! Membership is an annual fee of $10, and that money is put right back into the community. We are eagerly accepting new members!
